Field Engineering Management is covered in the Project Execution phase.
Field Engineering can have direct leadership within the onsite team and functional leadership to the Discipline Engineering Lead.
Field Engineering ensures the engineering meets the requirements of the Construction team in a timely manner. Field Engineering can assist directly or engage the off-site engineering team for assistance.

Field Engineering Execution
Field Engineering assist with the completion of engineering, firming up the scope for Provisional Cost items and being the first reviewer of any Request For Information (RFI’s) raised by Sub-Contractors and/or Site Team.
Design Documentation
- Assisting and liaison with Site Technical Document Control and Home Engineering Office
- Monitoring, coordinating, and expediting design documents from the Home Engineering Office
- Maintain a document deliverable matrix for document types
Engineering Change Management
- Management of change to engineering by the Off-site Engineering Team
- Management of change by the Sub-Contractor/Site team
- Manage response to Request For Information (RFI) or Technical Queries (TQ)
- Site Instructions where the change results in a change to a contract
Material, Equipment & Services Requisitioning
- Material Receival & Inspection – Under, over or damaged reports
- Vendor / Specialist attendance
- Manage concession request
Quality
- Assist Supervisory team to ensure quality of installation meets project requirements
- Assist and/or manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
