Project Forecasting
RNM Professionals PDI Forecasting program is specifically aimed at providing highly accurate forecast for complicated, resource extensive projects.
We can provide a programmatic means to transform your project
register quickly and efficiently into an industry leading project control system
for recording progress, forecast completion durations, reporting and
programming.
Plan your project interfaces and completion dates with confidence with RNM Professionals and PDI Forecasting.

Project Forecasting
With pressure to complete works sooner rather than later, Project Professionals can often under-estimate the time it will take to complete. PDI Forecasting provides a programmatic means for determining completion dates to support Project Professionals in the development of forecast and completion estimates.
Minimum/Optimum Progress for Forecasting
Handles for Minimum & Optimum Progress for forecasting ensure forecast are not based on mis-leading productivity factors that might be present at the start of a project activity.
Setting the Minimum and Optimum Progress for forecasting is a simple one-time activity that allows the Project Manager to ‘hold budget’ until the project works reach steady state.
Anticipated/Forecast Productivity Curves
PDI Forecasting facilitates provision of variable ‘bell-curve’ productivity over the life-cycle of a cost-code.
For most projects the productivity is not static but varies over time. As an example, the completion period in some projects can experience reduced productivity as the works transitions from a ‘bulk install’ phase to a ‘system close-out’ phase.
PDI Forecasting makes it easy to implement productivity curves to align with the expected life cycle productivity of your project. This function greatly improves the accuracy of resultant forecast.
Forecast Logging and History
Forecast will change over time, so it is important to maintain a record of all forecasts. PDI Forecasting facilitates the recording of each periodic forecast update and charts this in the project report.
This information can be used check and review the accuracy of the forecasting function. For example, large swings might be present if resource expenditure and progress records are occurring out of phase with forecast updates.
Forecasting by Cost-Code and KPI
PDI Forecasting supports project progress and forecasting by cost-code and KPI.
Cost-code information is used primarily by the Project Manager to review the overall health of the project.
KPI information is used in Look-ahead programming, Contract Programme interface and summary progress completion.
Why PDI Forecasting
PDI Forecasting is an Excel JavaScript Add-In for progress measurement, forecasting, reporting and look-ahead programming and programme interface.
The UI has been designed to ensure the highest level of accuracy in forecasting, while minimising the overhead to setup and maintain.
PDI Forecasting seamlessly converts any excel list, register, or schedule into an industry-leading project controls application and manages change in the underlying documents.
RNM Professionals can set up your instance of PDI Forecasting, which is then used by your Project Team for recording progress and expenditure.
Once setup PDI Forecasting automatically and accurately forecast resources required to complete the project, produce look-ahead programmes, and provides detailed reports.
The accuracy of PDI Forecasting increases as the project progresses. This facilitates highly accurate forecasting in the critical stages of contract interfacing and project completion.
